if they actually mean random, then sudoku gives you a rather redundant matrix (you can remove quite a lot of it and still be able to recreate it). that is quite the oppasite of randomif they mean more evenly distributed, then well, you can just generate a bunch of evenly distributed matrices without the need for sudoku. they just won't be random. if you want random, well, then you should use a random matrix. because it's random.
